Yes that's right, I've been out of work for 3 months. With no end in sight might I add. Hopefully D still has a job after this week is out. GM is cutting the workforce AGAIN. Soon they'll be in the same position as Chrysler. They wont have anyone left that knows what is going on.

The rain isn't helping my mood either. I want to hide under the covers and hope the storm blows over. Sadly that isn't an option.

I need to make the decision to wither move out of state, or to finally set aside design, and find a new career.

Wow, so it's been 3 months of glorious unemployment with no end in sight. Unless I once again move out of state. I dread the thought of moving out of state. This time it would have to be much further away then Toledo I fear. South Caroline, Arizona, California, Wisconsin, New York, are a few of the states I've seen designer jobs in. I'm still working on my MBA. I fear that it wont be of much use, but thankfully I am a few months away from completion.

I need to go up to the MichiganWorks office and talk to them about No Worker Left Behind. I want to see if I can get a free accounting certificate or something else rather generic that is always in demand. Every business needs an accountant!

Other then that I just keep making pointless phone calls, crossing my fingers, and applying for any and every job that I think I might have the slimmest chance in h@ll of being qualified for.

I had generally assumed that the internet nanny would block LJ at work so I never even bother to look. Until today. Too bad I was really bored at work last week, and could have used the time to catch up.

Honestly I'm probably not going to even try. I've been out of the loop for almost 4 months.

I live in Michigan incase you hadn't heard. In Troy specifically. I'm still working at a company in Plymouth. I'm not terribly happy with the job, I probably should have held out for something that I felt better about during the interview, but I really just wanted to get my ass back home. Well I'm mostly happy. I have been trying to get out more. Although the long commute and the early sunset make mtn biking and such difficult in the evenings. Lately the weekends seem to be so chalkfull of stuff that I dont get to do as much as I'd like to.

This saturday we are having another party (woo) Then if the weather holds and I'm not feeliong like crap on sunday I am going to get my gear and head out for a nice cool biking adventure of the Island Lake variety. I do so <3 Island Lake.

Wow. I haven't written in so long I acutally have crap to chat about!

Not that any of you likely need to be told this, but whatever you do, DO NOT GET A SPRINT CELL PHONE. Worst damn company ever! horrible customer service, absolutly no recourse for customers to get out of the contract when the service is useless and the rudest customer service reps EVER

Jesus christ people! when are you going to learn that the more you lie, the bigger the hole you'll have to dig yourself out of.

It confounds me on a regular basis that people just CAN NOT grasp this simple concept. ESPECIALLY after they have been caught... SEVERAL times.

you'd think they would get the hint after a while that they arnt as clever as they had thought and maybe it would be in their BEST interest to STOP before some REALLY bad happens.

keep your fingers crossed for me. I need a component fixed on my car. A Crank Position Sensor. And it damn well should be convered under warranty. So when the dude calls back from the dealership he and I will have words. Otherwise what good is a !0 year/100,000 mile powertrain warranty if it doesnt cover engine components.

and I tired finding out specifically what parts the warranty does cover from the hyundai website, but it just says "most parts" so if he denies the warranty I'm going to ask for the documentation specifying that its NOT covered.

I am thankfully still employed, at least for now. However it looks like I might have to put off grad school for a little while.

well for now I'm going to try the "online" classes thing for Grad school via University of Phoenix online. I'm only going to take one class for now to see if I like it. That and Dana has a tuition cap for the year that equates to 2.5 classes, eh.. we'll see how things go, I may break down and get a student loan. Lets hear it for Grad school! er well he's hoping I get accepted anyhow.
